Lisa Ferrari is an encaustic wax and multimedia artist. She resides in Christmas Hills Victoria where
she is surrounded by the Australian bush. At a young age Lisa began creating with fibre arts and
mixed media. She is self-taught, taking in-person and online workshops when available and joining
art groups where she enjoys the collaborative experience. In 2008, Lisa moved into the Nillumbik
Shire. Looking expand her creativity, she joined Red Door Studios in 2010, and began working with
glass, creating with mosaics and fused glass. When the opportunity to join the painting group arose,
she joined in and took to painting with oils.
During the Covid-19 lockdowns in Melbourne, Lisa concentrated on her art practice, particularly
working with watercolour. It was during that time that she found encaustic wax painting. She now
works predominantly in encaustic wax, painting on wood panels and ceramic sculptural pieces.
Lisa is a co-owner of Gallery 7six5, with her son, Benny Archer. The gallery is located in Watsons
