Lynette Wallace
Lynette lives in Ivanhoe and has drawn since High School where she was encouraged by her Art teacher. She has done many short courses including a Visual Arts course at NMIT plus several years studying iconography using egg tempera.
Pastel was her favourite medium, but she graduated to oil when Judith Durham of ‘Seekers’ fame asked her to paint her portrait for the Archibald Prize. The painting was shown at the Salon De Refuse in Melbourne.
Portraiture, rocks, gemstones, seascapes, birds and icons have been her inspiration and whilst she has sold quite a few paintings at exhibitions and privately, she has also given many to family and friends.
