A Thou Art Mum exhibition of works by 37 Diamond Valley female artists.

Long Gallery, Montsalvat (7 Hillcrest Avenue, Eltham). 20th April – 15th May.

Red is the most emotive of colours – a symbol throughout culture and history, a celebration of life and our oldest known pigment.

The need for artistic expression during motherhood is powerful; this show of diverse mediums and exploration of the colour red is sure to fascinate.

The wider public are invited to visit the opening night event on 21 April from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Local artist Linda MacAulay will officially open the exhibition and artworks will be available to purchase on the night. Light refreshments will also be served.

For more information on this exciting exhibition, please contact (03) 9439 7712 or montsalvat@montsalvat.com.au.

Past exhibition : A Taste of TAM, Celebrating 10 Years

Thou Art Mum is thrilled to continue their celebration of 10 years, with the opening of their 18th exhibition “A Taste of TAM” at The Bridges Restaurant, on Thursday 29 October.

35 of our mother-artists will create a vibrant experience for those visiting the exhibition, with over 70 artworks on display. Artistic disciplines will range from painting, drawing and illustration; to collage, sculpture, mosaic and photography. The subject matter just as diverse.

We were ecstatic to hear that founding member Katiuska Cruz will be travelling from the NSW North Coast to open the exhibition! Would you believe that in March 2005, (as part of a Landmark Education community project), Thou Art Mum started with an ad in the local paper for expressions of interest?

We can’t wait to see the Diamond Valley community get behind this exhibition. The opening will be a great evening out; especially for those looking to meet local artists and own a piece of local art themselves. Come and spend an evening in idyllic surrounds and surrounded by inspiring art!

Exhibition Opening : Thursday 29 October, 6.30-8.00pm. All are welcome. Artworks will be available to purchase on the night. Cheese and biscuits will be served with drinks at bar prices.

Exhibition Dates : 28 October – 6 December.
