Helen is an exhibiting & commissioned mixed media artist based in Greensborough where she works from her home studio. Inspired by the female face, she is a lover of exploring the corners of the mind and the things you find there. Born in Wales and emigrating to Australia as a teenager she followed a creative path through jewellery design, mosaic & mixed media painting.
Helen has held an ‘Artist in Residency’ position at several local primary schools, and currently runs weekly creative classes for both children and adults from her Studio.
Helen is a passionate advocate for sharing her knowledge in the local community. She regularly works with local council on Arts events such as ‘Banyule Kids Arty Farty Fest ‘and has successfully obtained a community grants to facilitate programs such as ‘Creative Time Out’ – an eight-week art program for mothers of Autistic children - experiencing first hand the ability art has to bring people together with the encouragement of community support.
Helen has been an active member of TAM since 2012 and has held the Sub Committee Leader position within the group for 2014/15/17.
